Post-Treatment Instructions
Asymmetry is not uncommon immediately following treatment. This should resolve itself in the coming weeks.
Apply an ice pack to the treated area intermittently for the first 24 hours (10 minutes on, 10 minutes off) after treatment to minimize swelling. Use a plastic ziplock bag wrapped in a paper towel or damp hand towel. The ice should not come into direct contact with your skin.
For the first 5 days, massage the treated area 5x a day for 5 minutes each time.
Avoid sun or UV lamp exposure for the first few days until the swelling and redness have resolved.
Avoid Aspirin, NSAIDs, and alcohol for the first few days after treatment.
Tylenol may be used for pain.
Sculptra® may cause redness, swelling, or bruising when first injected. A hematoma may also occur, typically resolving in hours to about 2 weeks.
After Sculptra® injections, you may experience small bumps, or papules, on the skin.
